Use the middle scroll wheel for zooming in. Use right mouse button to drag the image.
Use left mouse button to rotate.
Point the mouse to a specific volume to see its name and geometrical sizes (inside the grey area).
Draw options: navigate the mouse to the main canvas, and right click. Select a "draw" option. You will see a black window to the right. Select the draw option (cliping etc).
Visualize a specific "assembly" (a number of volumes that correspond to a specific part of the detector) by expanding the name of the "topvolume" (on the left of the screen).
You will see the yellow icons showing "assemblies". Then use the right mouse menu to display the selected assembly in a separate window.
All files (ROOT, GDML) can be downloaded from
this link. The GDML files can be viewed as this (in pyROOT):
TGeoManager.Import("Inclined_Duals.gdml")
gGeoManager.SetMaxVisNodes(100000)
gGeoManager.ViewLeaves(True)
gGeoManager.SetVisLevel(64) # change it to make faster
gGeoManager.GetTopVolume().Draw("ogl")
The project web page can be found
in this link (for ATLAS only).
