-=====Guideline for EF Implementation of Snowmass Delay=====

-**Dates for slowdown of activities: Feb 1, 2021 until June 30, 2021**
-
-The challenges posed by the continuing COVID-19 pandemic has led the APS/DPF Snowmass Steering Group to delay the Snowmass Report and the Community Summer Study meeting (CSS) by one year until 2022.  The announcement and more information, including deadlines for contributed papers and reports, is provided on the Snowmass Wiki page.
-Any comments or clarification of these guidelines should be directed to the EF conveners.
-
-**In accordance with the guidelines, the Energy Frontier plans to implement a “slow down” of all the activities until the end of June 2021. The guidelines for Energy Frontier activities are elaborated below.**
-  * We will pause all Frontier- and Topical Group-level workshops.
-  * We will significantly reduce the Topical Group activities by arranging occasional Topical Group-level “conversations” (more details below) to maintain collaborative work with other units (as needed), and ensure scientific continuity of the projects that started in Summer and Fall 2020.
-  * EF will pause cross-frontier discussions with those frontiers which decided to pause their activities.
-  * We  will  work  with  the Accelerator Frontier  to  provide  input  parameters for their Implementation Task Force and other Topical Groups as necessary to maintain a continuing dialogue between the two groups, as the international future collider R&D and performance studies evolve.
-  * As  an  exception,  due  to scheduling  constraints driven  by  the  EIC  Yellow  Report  and  the  Nuclear  Physics  long-range planning process, the contribution of Nuclear-Physics-related activities will continue at the current pace.
-  * We  will  ensure  that  progress  on Monte  Carlo  (MC) production continues  to support  the  needs  of  the EF community.  If  tutorials  are  needed  we  will arrange  them  via  our  partner collaborations  (ILC,  CLIC, FCCxx,  CepC,  Muon  Collider,  etc.).
-  * The Muon Collider Forum will also meet occasionally, as needed to maintain scientific continuity with the international community. The MC  production group will take care of the MC generation for this forum.
-  * Individual studies and self organized activities related to the TG scientific program can continue at the pace chosen by the proponents. They can choose to participate and present their progress in the TG conversation fora.
-  * All discussions organized under the umbrella of subgroups of the Topical Groups will be officially put on hold [e.g. pMSSM scan group, HH etc..]. However, voluntarily self-organized discussions among collaborators may proceed independent of Snowmass.
-  * Snowmass Wiki, Indico, as well as SLACK 2021 channels will continue to be our communication platforms.
-
-In particular, until June 30, 2021, the only informally organized activities will be the occasional ** “Topical Group conversations”,** which provide a gathering place for discussions and support for members of our community as needed, and are expected to take place about 3 times per Topical Group during the slowdown period.
-  * Topical Group-level conversations are expected to provide a space for the community to seek help and present their work to ensure scientific continuity.
-  * No invited talk or overview presentations will be solicited by the conveners.
-  * The conveners will announce the coordinates (date/time/connection info) of and facilitate the discussions.
-  * Every colleague should feel welcome to present their work at the “Topical Group conversations” gatherings.
-  * Participation is voluntary.
-  * The conveners will assure communication and connection between members working on similar topics, will continue to provide guidance, and serve as reference points, also facilitating the involvement of new members at any time.
