+ | ===== Description=====
+ | Solid State Detectors and Tracking covers solid state sensors for tracking detectors, from silicon to diamond and other alternative materials. It also covers non-solid state trackers such as straw trackers for high-intensity experiments. Trackers should be discussed in the context of future collider challenges, such as radiation hardness, ultra-fast sensors and minimal mass. The latter requiring things like 3D integration and ultra-lightweight materials for mechanical support and cooling, which should also be covered in this group.
