# yum install -y OpenIPMI
# yum install -y ipmitool

Start ipmi service as root

# chkconfig ipmi on
# /etc/init.d/ipmi start

Check the modules are loaded:

# /sbin/lsmod |grep ipmi
ipmi_devintf 8049 0
ipmi_si 42401 0
ipmi_msghandler 35992 2 ipmi_devintf,ipmi_si
