Notes for the ALPGEN Generator

Alpgen Group Identifier Rules for ARGO jobs

alpgen.<process>.<process description>.<energy>.<PDF>.<Experiment>.<Experiment Description>

  • process = zjet, wjet, wqq, etc.
  • process description = 5jets,bb_3jets,3jets_40mll60, etc.
  • energy = 13tev
  • PDF = cteq6l1
  • Experiment = atlas
  • experiment description = mc15
  • Text should be in lower case.

Install on Edison

  • module swap PrgEnv-intel PrgEnv-gnu
  • svn export svn+ssh://atlas1.hep.anl.gov/users/svn/hpc/generators/alpgen/v214/bgq/tags/04-01-00
  • edit makeall.py to build gen90_mpi_nomrstpdfs
