This is an old revision of the document!
There is a number of technical tasks that are ideal for scientists who would like to contribute to open-source particle simulations and outreach. Help from undergraduate and graduate students are especially welcome. HepSim projects can expand your programming skills. You will learn about physics, Monte Carlo generations, detector designs and data analysis. HepSim uses the same software and tools as those used in actual experiments. The only difference is that the software is not proprietorial, which means you do not need to ask the permission to publish your own research based on HepSim simulations.
Of course, you can do a lot of your own research, including physics performance studies using truth-level, fast simulations and full simulations. You are limited only to your own imagination.
Please contact me (S.Chekanov) if you are interested in these tasks.
