The group covers model driven searches for new physics. This includes search studies as well as summaries which collect results from other groups and interprets them in a model context. The model list is expected to grow, but is expected to include SUSY, Extra Dimensions, and Leptoquarks. The work will include both search sensitivity estimates, reinterpretations of sensitivity estimates from other groups (e.g. a long-lived particle as a Higgsino), and model parameter scans and comparisons with precision measurements (for example pMSSM scans).
This TWiki page collects useful information on organization, topics, and technical details, as we see useful for the community. Please check for updates often and subscribe to our mailing list (see above) to be kept updated.
Group Topics
An initial list of topics to be covered by this topical group are:
- SUSY:
- Strong (inclusive searches / gluino / squark)
- 3rd gen (stop, sbottom)
- EWKino, singlino, “Pure” higgsino
- R-parity violating SUSY
- Blackhole Mulitjets
- Randall-Sundrum Gravitons
- pMSSM or other scans
The list above is not meant to be a comprehensive list, but rather a starting point. Please do not hesitate to contact us with more ideas and studies.
The group will focus on the model depenendent searches and interpretations and expects to have input from and strong synergy with other working groups, including
- EF01 - EW Physics: Higgs Boson properties and couplings
- EF08 will use results of EF01 studies on Higgs properties/couplings as inputs to model scans
- EF02 - EW Physics: Higgs Boson as a portal to new physics and EF08 will collaborate on BSM model specific interpretations with the following bing primarily covered by EF02
- will cover rare Higgs decay searches
- will cover general 2HDM
- H→invisible
- flavor violating Higgs production and decays
- EF04 - EW Physics: EW precision physics and constraining new physics
- EF08 will use precision estimates as inputs to model scans (EFT fits)
- EF03 - EW Physics: Heavy flavor and top quark physics will cover rare top decay searches
Similarly, a variety of topics covered by this topical group are relevant to many other groups, and conveners are here to ensure and help in the cross-communication.
