Description

This subgroup covers the use of micropatterned gas detectors for the collection and amplification of ionization signatures, but also incorporatets secondary signatures for photon detection, for example. Included are technologies incorporated into a collider, dark matter and neutrino experiments. This subgroup is cross-disciplinary in its nature, touching on several other subgroups and frontiers.
