How to get to ANL ASC
ANL ASC is located in the 2nd floor of Building 360 of Argonne National Laboratory. High Energy Physics Division is housed in the adjacent and connected Building 362. The Argonne is located 23 miles southwest of downtown Chicago, and a comparable distance southeast of Fermilab. From either O'Hare or Midway airport, United Limousine may take you to the Lab. [Advance reservations, (800) 826 0341; arriving at the airport, (800) 331 9037; from Illinois (630) 969 3865; mention the "Argonne Rate".] Details. There is also a free Shuttle to and from the University of Chicago.
Directions:
By car, you may reach us on I-55, the Stevenson Expressway:
southwest-bound, get off at the Cass Avenue South Exit273 — there is a
sign alerting you to Argonne before that exit.
Drive south for 1/7 mile, and turn right at the Argonne sign directing you to
the Lab.
Stop at the Argonne Information Center on the right side, and
present serious identification to receive a gatepass authorizing
you to enter the Lab, and which should be displayed prominently during your
visit. They will also give you directions on how to drive to Building 360,
and probably a legible version of this
Argonne site map.
Bld. 360 is marked in yellow on the map. ANL ASC is on the
second floor. The HEP division office is at E109 bld. 362, marked in purple in above site map, phone (630) 252 6270.
